It's an attractive lighthouse guarding the harbor, one that we saw from our ship. Has served an important purpose to guide ships for a long time, and now stands sentry offering some atmosphere.Full review by Thomas V

We parked on the side of the road and took a trail to the lighthouse....there wasn't a soul around...if you are willing to chance it, you can maybe just go for it?????

I don't recall how well you can see Beavertail from Castle Hill, but I stopped on my way home. If you don't take the second bridge as you leave Newport and head to Jamestown it's not a far drive. The area is beautiful...well worth the short trip!

The lighthouse is located on the same property. If you park at the far end of the parking lot, there is a short path that will take you to the lighthouse.
