The Pittsburgh Penguins recalled forward Boko Imama from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL) on Saturday. In a corresponding transaction, rookie defenseman Owen Pickering was assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned defenseman Owen Pickering to their farm team in Wilkes-Barre and promoted forward Boko Imama from the Baby Penguins.

Mike Sullivan said Joel Blomqvist starts in goal today versus Seattle. He added that Pittsburgh recalled Boko Imama to make sure the Penguins had enough guys to field a lineup, as Bryan Rust is day-to-day with a lower-body injury and will not play.

The Penguins made a roster move on Saturday before their game against the Seattle Kraken. Rookie defenseman Owen Pickering is going back down to the AHL and forward Boko Imama is coming up to the NHL.
