The increase in cases in the state comes as a Louisiana man with underlying health conditions died from the disease on Monday. Experts say those who come into contact with wild birds or other animals like cattle should take precautions.

A bald eagle found in Chicago's western suburbs has been euthanized after it was suspected of being infected with bird flu. On Friday of last week, the eagle was spotted with its head drooping in Hinsdale.
