Amid the uncertainty over his participation in the upcoming second round of the Ranji Trophy match for Mumbai against the visiting Jammu and Kashmir, Team India skipper Rohit Sharma was practicing in the open nets in one of the cricket grounds in Mumbai on Thursday,

Rohit scored only 31 runs in five innings in a disastrous tour of Australia, seeing him drop himself for the fifth Test in Sydney. India lost the series 3-1, and Rohit's future in the longest format of the game is up in the air.

Attention is focused on Indian cricket icons Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as the second phase of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 approaches.

Indian cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal has confirmed his participation in the following Ranji Trophy round by joining Mumbai's training camp. He was spotted during an open nets session at the Bandra Kurla Complex Ground. The development comes ahead of Mumbai's match against Jammu and Kashmir on January 23.

Rohit Sharma has joined Mumbai's squad for their training sessions in the lead up to the second half of the Ranji Trophy season. The team is currently having a training camp at the Wankhede Stadium and and Rohit has linked up with them after consultation with head coach Omkar Salvi.

There are possibilities that Rohit will feature for Mumbai in their upcoming Ranji Trophy fixture which will be against Jammu and Kashmir.

Rohit was the first to respond to that summons. He began Tuesday morning padded up and in whites with the Mumbai Ranji team at the Wankhede Stadium. It was hours of toil in the maidans that had helped Rohit polish his talent and rise to prominence.
