WASHINGTON (TNND) — About five million pools linked to the deaths of nine children during the last 18 years were recalled Monday, according to a new report released by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
At a Capitol Hill forum, Senator Amy Klobuchar raised concerns about political interference weakening the Consumer Product Safety Commission, urging bipartisan support to protect families from hazardous products.
A joint recall announced by the CPSC impacts above-ground pools sold at Walmart, Target, Lowe's and many others after the deaths of nine children.
