Kenworth's W900 semi-trucks didn't make waves entirely on their own. These soon-to-be-discontinued trucks are part of the brand's 1.9-meter cab Class 8 truck line.

Each Kenworth W900 Legacy Edition will be serialized – counting from 1,000 down to 0001 – in order of build date and sequence with a special limited-edition badge on the glovebox.

Production is limited to Kenworth’s 2023 100th anniversary year. The W900 Limited Edition model is available in three configurations—86-in. Studio Sleeper, 72-in. Flat Top, and Extended Day Cab.

Kenworth will produce 1,000 of the limited-edition W900 units, serialized from No. 1000 down to 0001. Also: Wabash's $462M "nuclear" verdict was reduced to $108M; more.

And it was this unique design environment that saw Kenworth bring the W900 into the world. By the mid-‘50s, Kenworth’s premier Class 8 truck model was the “bullnose” K100 cabover.

Kenworth W900 models are typically worth anywhere between $190,000 and $270,000 when new, and so it can be speculated that the Legacy Edition — the ultimate and likely most collectible iteration ...

Amazingly, the W900 has been around since 1963, though Kenworth announced this week that it’s canceling the iconic semi-truck next year. If there was ever a time to pour one out, this might be it.
