Callan was 77 years old. A funeral will be held for him on Dec. 28 at 10 a.m. at the Riverside Conventional Center. As Father Jim would have it, all are welcome.

Rev. James Callan died Friday at the age of 77 after a long battle with cancer. Callan's progressive practices ultimately led to his separation from the Catholic Church in the late 1990s.
