Glass desks can become damaged by dramatic changes in temperature, blunt force, heavy-weighted items, or rough-textured objects sliding over the surface, creating near-invisible cracks.

I would really really not recommend a glass desk. They collect fingerprints and “arm-prints” like crazy, and dust is very apparent. I am super OCD about both so I am constantly cleaning the thing.
