Granton's family has said he was unarmed, and was shot in the back. The Civilian Office of Police Accountability released body camera video of the shooting last week.

Cook County Medical Examiner said Mr Granton was fatally shot in the back, ABC News reports. Police released an image of a weapon they said was recovered from the scene of the incident.
