Lear Corp. said Wednesday it has completed its $220 million acquisition of German electrical manufacturing company, Grote & Hartmann Gmbh.

Wuppertal, Germany-based Grote & Hartmann reported sales of €250 million in 2003. It has 1,900 employees worldwide at plants in Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Mexico and South Africa.

Grote Automotive has been in operation for 14 years and is based in Indiana where it operates out of four locations. The Cherry Valley dealership is its first in Illinois.
