Royal Caribbean crew member dies after falling from Icon of the Seas
"Our crew immediately initiated a search and rescue operation, but unfortunately the crew member passed away," a cruise line spokesperson confirmed to WSVN. "We extend our condolences to the crew member’s family and loved ones. To respect their privacy, we have no additional details to share."
A second fall from Icon of the Seas happened at the ship's infinity pool and could have had tragic consequences if not for a safety railing.
