This was not the first time fans have been tricked. Just last year, Katy Perry had to tell her own mother that her jaw-dropping Met Gala 2024 look was AI-generated.

Although Katy is a fixture on the Met Gala red carpet, she hasn't attended the event since 2022. That year, she joked she had been "pinned" into her glamorous gown during an interview with Vogue.
