Microsoft has rebuilt its Windows web app store. It’s built on new code and has a fresh UI that makes it easier to find and install Windows apps. The new web store is live right now.

Given that the Windows Store was announced in 2011, and shifted to the Microsoft Store in 2017, it’s kind of ludicrous that Microsoft is just now trying to address these issues.
