Ocean View School District will decide next week whether four schools — Circle View, Village View and Golden View elementary schools as well as Spring View middle school — will remain open.

Ocean View’s 14 schools – 10 elementary and four middle schools – have 6,809 students enrolled this school year, which is down by about 2,600 students from 10 years ago, Conroy said.

Still, the numbers seem dire. During the presentation, Farrow showed that Ocean View School District went from 9,418 students in 2012-13 to 6,809 students a decade later.

Ocean View School District has two preschools, 10 elementary schools and four middle schools. It largely serves Huntington Beach but also has campuses in Fountain Valley, Westminster and Midway City.
