It is still listed as a company I worked at for 8 years and I do not list it's demise on the resume. It did not die due to my work, hence it's demise is irrelevent to my listed experience.
1. A career objective An objective statement used to be at the top of a resume and told an employer what you were looking for in a job. But employers already know your objective: to get a job!

You should not omit past employers from your resume just because the company has gone out of business or you have lost touch with your former managers or references.
