Nine locally-painted porpoises decorated the waterfront outside theMaritime Museum of the Atlantic Monday morning as part of a nauticalfundraiser called Dolphins on Parade.

As Halifax's population continues to grow, plans to prevent overcrowding along the city's downtown waterfront are being reviewed. This could mean building a new ferry terminal.

It's a piece on the Halifax waterfront that rivals Got Drunk, Fell Down in fame. The Wave first arrived on the boardwalk in the late 1980s, an early example of public art in the city.
