VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A shoaling alert to mariners has been posted for Rudee Inlet due to serious shoaling conditions, based on a City of Virginia Beach survey Wednesday.
There is also shoaling reported on the south side of the channel, extending about 100 feet east and 100 feet west from the west end of the jetty. It's depth is estimated at 3.2 feet MLLW.

The U.S. Corps of Engineers Detroit District will start dredging the entrance to Holland Harbor as early as Thursday, April 24 to remove shoaling across the federal channel, a press release stated.
