State lawmakers in Austin began the process of redrawing Texas’ congressional map. It comes after President Donald J. Trump says he wants the Texas Legislature to draw the Congressional map in a way that will help Republicans pick up five additional seats in the U.

The Texas House Redistricting Committee held a public hearing in Arlington on Jan. 22, 2020, to see what people want to see on the new maps that will be drawn in 2021. It’s 2025, and Texas is redrawing its congressional districts.
