A 53-year-old Rochester, New York man who police said was an 'experienced climber' died after falling 300 to 400 feet while hiking toward the Wilson Peak mountain in Colorado.

He was hiking alone. The fall took place on the Rock of Ages trail on Wilson Peak. Authorities said after falling between 300 and 400 feet, the man suffered a head injury.
