Utah captain Clayton Keller went to the locker room a minute into the second period against the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night after a puck struck him the face. A shot from teammate Michael Kesselring got deflected high and the puck struck Keller.

The Jets, who lead the Central Division by five points and sit second in the NHL rankings, came into Delta Center winning three of their last four games. Utah did not let the numbers get in its head and put forth a high-paced, even-keeled effort that earned it two more points in the Western Conference playoff race.

Despite the injury, Keller returned to help Utah win 5-2 against Winnipeg. Keller's resilience inspired teammates, contributing to Utah's offensive surge.
