A third of the troops North Korea deployed to western Russia’s Kursk Oblast late last year has been killed or wounded, according to Ukrainian Pres. Volodymyr Zelensky. Col. Ants Kiviselg, the head of the Estonian defense forces’ intelligence center, confirmed the claim.

In a statement posted on X, Zelenskyy said he had instructed Ukraine's security service to allow journalists access to the captured soldiers.

After Ukraine reported capturing two North Korean soldiers fighting with Russian troops, President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed a prisoner exchange. The Kremlin has refused to comment. Clare Sebastian reports.
