A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Logan County until 4 p.m. Dangerous heat continues throughout the region with scattered storms possible for the next several days. A Heat Advisory continues for part of the region until 8 p.m. tonight. This includes Butler, Clinton, and Warren counties.

A severe thunderstorm warning was released by the National Weather Service on Friday at 3:18 p.m. in effect until 4 p.m. for Essex, Hudson and Union counties.

A line of fast-moving storms prompted severe thunderstorm warnings in the Chicago area and ground stops at O'Hare and Midway airports. There were also reports of storm damage.

A flash flood warning was released by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 3 p.m. EDT in effect until 6 p.m. EDT for Alpena and Presque Isle counties.

A flood advisory is now in effect for parts of Hamilton County, Ohio, and Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties in Kentucky along the Ohio River.

The National Weather Service's Wilmington office will be conducting a preliminary storm survey in the Springfield area today.
