A 15-year-old is the first youth homicide victim in Milwaukee this year. MILWAUKEE - A shooting in Milwaukee on Thursday night, Jan. 23 left two people wounded near 76th and Silver Spring. It happened around 7:35 p.m. Police say the victims, ages 37 and 38, arrived at the hospital for treatment of injuries.
The 17-year-old Milwaukee girl shot and killed on Wednesday was identified as Zaniya Booker by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office on Thursday afternoon. Booker died in a shooting at 4466 N. 28th St. at about 4:45 p.m. Police said Thursday they were still investigating the circumstances around the shooting and seeking a suspect.

MILWAUKEE — Police are investigating an arson that happened Wednesday, January 15 around 11 p.m. near 18th and Keefe. According to an email from MPD, five people, ranging in age from four months to 30 years old, were inside the home at the time. No one was hurt.
