Brian Johnson could be on the move once again. The former Utah quarterback will interview with the Houston Texans for the team’s offensive coordinator role, according to a Thursday report from Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore has emerged as the “lead candidate” for the fill the Saints’ vacant head coaching position, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Former Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy was also in the running for the job, but he does not plan to coach this year and will instead focus on the 2026 hiring cycle, according to ESPN.

Johnson would bring plenty of experience to Houston. The long-time coach had three stops as offensive coordinator in the college ranks, guiding the offenses at Utah, Houston, and Florida. He broke into the NFL in 2021 when he was named as the Eagles quarterbacks coach, and he quickly earned a promotion to offensive coordinator in 2023.
