Former New York Jets defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich said Monday that his failure to delegate and a seemingly lack of honesty led to his struggles as the Jets interim head coach.

They wouldn’t and they won’t, Ulbrich said Monday during his introductory news conference. He said both coaches are better since that coaching staff was swept out following Ulbrich’s tenure as interim defensive coordinator under interim head coach Morris in 2020.

Jeff Ulbrich revealed Monday some of the things that went wrong during his 12-game stint as the Jets’ interim head coach following the firing of Robert Saleh. Ulbrich joined the Falcons as their new defensive coordinator after he held the same position with the Jets, who went 3-9 with Ulbrich as an interim coach.
