WASHINGTON -- Logan Thompson made 19 saves, and the Washington Capitals extended their point streak to eight games with a 3-0 win against the Anaheim Ducks at Capital One Arena on Tuesday.

Ethen Frank added his second NHL goal as Washington won consecutive games for the first time since before the Christmas break.

Logan Thompson stopped all 19 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season to help the Washington Capitals beat the Anaheim Ducks 3-0.

The Washington Capitals continue to be one of the more welcomed surprises in the NHL this season. After entering last year’s playoffs with the worst goal differential of any team in the postseason, the Capitals look like a much different team at the halfway mark of the 2024-25 campaign,
