Fairfield Union senior Christian Thompson, who excelled in three sports, is the 2025 Eagle-Gazette Athlete of the Year.

As a high school senior, Thompson recorded 90 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, and nine sacks. Lipscomb Academy football linebacker Kris Thompson has found his college home.
