North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles tries new approach at driver’s license offices so customers don’t have to stand in line outside the building.

The North Carolina DMV is now allowing walk-ins all day at 82 of its 115 offices, including all Charlotte locations, to help customers avoid the summer heat.
