A $14 million state-of-the-art preschool is being developed by the Educare Learning Network in Springfield’s Old Hill neighborhood – one of the poorest urban areas in the country.

Village Academy Schools, a preschool through 12th grade private school in Powell, is working on plans to build an on-site preschool building. The school's main campus is at 284 S. Liberty St.

In one letter to state Sen. Angus McKelvey of Maui, Green wrote that McKelvey’s district will see a total of $5 million in preschool construction at Kihei and Princess Nahienaena elementary schools.
