A Tennessee zoo is asking the public to help name a rare spotless giraffe that was born last month. The giraffe was born at Brights Zoo in Limestone, Tenn., on July 31 and is on view at the zoo.
Kipepeo the giraffe is ready for her public debut at the Maryland Zoo. Beginning Friday, the giraffe, nicknamed Kipi, will be visible to the public since arriving in late November.
The spotless Angolan giraffe was discovered at the Mount Etjo Safari Lodge, a private game reserve in Namibia. It is one of the two known living spotless giraffes in the world.
