JAMESTOWN, R.I. (WJAR) — One person was seriously injured in a two-car crash on the Jamestown Bridge Thursday. Rhode Island State Police said they responded to a crash on Route 138 east at 3:35 p.m.

(WJAR) — Update: The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority has lifted the access restrictions it imposed on the Newport Pell Bridge and the Jamestown-Verrazzano Bridge due to high winds.

A motorcyclist from South Kingstown died after a crash Thursday afternoon on the Jamestown Bridge, according to the Rhode Island State Police. He was identified as Jonathan W. Hopkins, age 34.
