Google’s new ‘G’ logo appeared on stage during the I/O 2025 keynote, and is now live in more apps and the web. The new logo made its debut with the Google app on Android and iOS last week.

Google’s “G” took this idea even further, reducing the company’s famous wordmark down to a single letter icon in 2015. That first “G” was playful enough with is color blocking.

The logo change appears to be limited to the 'G' icon used on mobile devices and the Google app. The update is already visible in the Google Search app for iOS and in beta on Android.
