Last month, the bridge got stuck open one day due to “temperature-related metal expansion,” according to MassDOT.

According to MassDOT, the bridge may be closed due to the extreme heat expected on Tuesday, July 29, and Wednesday, July 30.

The bridge is on the Raynham and Taunton line, where South Street East meets Old Colony Avenue, the same road that leads to the Walmart Supercenter.
