The Charlotte Bobcats announced today that the team will utilize purple and teal as its primary colors when it changes its name to the Charlotte Hornets prior to the 2014-15 NBA season.

The Charlotte Bobcats are going to go back to being the Charlotte Hornets at some point and have reintroduced the purple and teal color palette for the team.

The new Google Maps UI features shades of teal that better complement the app’s color palette. The change is rolling out to Android users running app version 24.49.06.x or later.

Benjamin Moore has just dropped their reigning color for 2025, Cinnamon Slate (plus an adjoining palette) with the dusty plum hue setting the stage for a full-on purple takeover.
