Former Timberwolves and Lynx chief executive officer Ethan Casson was named president of the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday.

Casson will report to CEO Rick Welts, effective Aug. 11, while Welts focuses on the development of the new arena.

Tuff, who previously served as deputy CEO, has been overseeing day-to-day operations since former CEO Brian Schultz's departure in January 2024. Centro launched a search for a new CEO.
