There are three main types of pollen. Earlier in the spring, tree pollen is the main culprit. After that grasses pollinate, followed by weeds in the late summer and early fall.

Daily pollen counts are available from Dr. Albert Hartel, Allergy Asthma Immunology of Rochester. The counts include pollen concentrations in grains per cubic meter for trees, grasses and weeds.

Seasonal allergies are still high as the region is transitioning from tree pollen season to grass pollen season. Outdoor play has also led to several tick bites and poison ivy cases.
