Billy Joel's daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, was left stunned after watching the new two-part documentary about his life and career.

Billy Joel fans should all get in the mood for two long nights with the piano man in July. HBO has set the premiere dates for its two-part original documentary Billy Joel: And So It Goes.

But Billy Joel tried not to do that to Alexa Ray. In a 2008 interview with MassLive, Joel revealed that he wants to let his daughter achieve success on her own.

Joel’s eldest daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, whom he has with his ex-wife, Christie Brinkley, also posted a sweet message to her father in honor of the special day.

The couple married in the spring of 1985 and welcomed daughter Alexa Ray in December of that year. Joel opened up about his admiration for Brinkley to Rolling Stone.
