The previous wave of tracks for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe arrived on December 7, 2022. The new courses are only available as part of the Booster Course Pass and cannot be purchased individually.

(That’s Mario Day Eve, by the way.) Wave 4 of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe ’s Booster Course Pass DLC will include a brand-new course, Yoshi’s Island, and a returning character, Birdo.

A recent update to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe that added support for Wave 4’s tracks and Birdo also added slots for five more mystery characters to the game’s character select screen.

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC Wave 4 will add a new course based on Yoshi’s Island and Birdo. Other courses and characters in the wave, if included, were not previewed.

The Yoshi’s Island track and fan-favorite Birdo are headed to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sometime this spring in wave 4 of Nintendo’s Booster Course Pass DLC.
