Legends: Arceus stayed clear of Pokémon beyond Gen 4, with one exception, and now it looks like Pokémon Legends: Z-A may be following its lead.

Slightly different from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which was released just a few weeks ago, Pokemon Legends Arceus was a standalone game that didn't follow the mainline series' formula.
