But there's no benefit to raise a frame rate from 60 to 120 since the LCD displays of the 3DS (as well as the DSi, DS Lite, DS classic, Game Boy Advance…even the PSP) are limited to 60Hz.
Some 3DS games are larger, such as Resident Evil Revelations at 3.17GB, but that's an exception among a majority of titles less than 1GB in size.
By simply pressing “Start” and “Select” while booting up a DS game, players can get the title running at a clearer resolution. Better resolution comes at a price, however: shrinkage.
