Excel offers a CODE() function which returns the ASCII code for a given character. This is basically the reverse of the CHAR() function which is used to translate a numerical code into a character.
The Char function works with codes (numbers), each number you place in the formula will give a different result. See the photo above. There are two other methods to use the CHAR function in Excel.
