The suspect, a 14-year-old boy, reportedly threw a propane tank at the back glass door, shattering it, and entered the home. The victim said he heard the glass break and went to investigate.

He also advised motorists to carry a glass breaker, preferably spring-loaded for shattering side windows, and a seatbelt cutter to free themselves in case the buckle is jammed.
