For fans of Invader Zim, this Netflix news will be very welcome. The tv movie was first announced back in 2017, but numerous delays pushed the film further and further down the road.

Richard Horvitz (who voiced Zim), Rikki Simons (GIR), Andy Berman (Dib) and Melissa Fahn (Gaz) will return for the 90-minute TV movie, as reported by EW.

The show was about failure and dysfunction. Zim was an inept evil invader with the most idiotic plots. His robot sidekick GIR was a dysfunctional but endearing idiot robot.

Gir can be great in small doses, but his inane, noisy cuteness often dominates Invader Zim. It’s frankly a no-brainer to subvert the character for an episode.
