How to align the text in a table in Word Once you have a table, you can enter the text, as shown in Figure D. Right now, both cells are left-aligned, and we want the second cell to be right-aligned.

Click the "Home" tab if it isn't already enabled. Click the "Align Text Left" button in the Paragraph section of the ribbon. Note that Word doesn't have a way to mass-realign footnotes.

To align the table, select the table and click one of the other options: Center or Left Align. Using these three options you can quickly and easily align your table to the left, center, or right.
