The crafter has collected baby dolls over the years from thrift stores and garage sales. Vinton takes the baby doll heads, feet and arms and creates a silicone mold of the body parts.

In 1909, a German company, K*R, came out with the first baby doll with a head made of bisque, an unglazed porcelain. They were called character babies because they had expressions on their faces.
