Providence Mayor Brett Smiley has interest in the Crook Point Bridge that sits over the Seekonk River. Frog & Toad Co-owner Asher Schofield said the bridge is a symbol of Rhode Island.
Video footage of a large chunk of bridge decking crashing into a barge and into the Providence River prompted the investigation.
