One of the best band logos of all time, this ain't. The new 'S' is much more vertically elongated, and features smoother edges, without the barbed, spiked look of the original.
As an original member of Slipknot, Jordison came up with the design for the tribal "S" logo. "I drew that logo on my dad’s old desk in the house I grew up in," the drummer told Kerrang! in 2017.
From that early draft, Slipknot’s logo has appeared on albums from their 1999 self-titled breakthrough all the way to latest The End, So Far, which came out one year after Jordison’s passing.
One fan wrote "It's better lol," to which another replied, “s**t looks like a paper clip but go off lil man.” The new logo is referred to as "Ritual S" on Slipknot's merch portal.

And I get where they're coming from, as I'm not super into it either. But all the cries over the "new logo" seem a little ridiculous, as the rest of the line has Slipknot 's classic "S" logo.
