“Stardust” made its debut to press earlier this year as an official selection of the Tribeca Film Festival, but IFC will now release the movie in Q4 of this year.

Flynn, 36, who played Albert Einstein in NatGeo’s Emmy-nominated “Genuis” series, stars as Bowie sets off on his first tour of America in 1971, when he created his iconic Ziggy Stardust persona.

The film reveals the inspirations and life events that gave birth to Bowie’s iconic alter ego, Ziggy Stardust, charting the transformation of one of the world’s great cultural icons.

Film Constellation has boarded world sales on Stardust about a young David Bowie during his first visit to America in 1971, a trip that inspired the invention of his iconic alter ego Ziggy Stardust.
