Long considered an eyesore by residents, the North Beach water tanks at 74th Street and Dickens Avenue are receiving a splash of color that will transform them into something more pleasing to the eye.
Currently, the Water Tank Project website promises a spring 2014 launch—sometime in the next nine days, in other words—with a full slate of tours, talks, education programs, parties, and events.
