A search is now in its second day for two teens who went missing in waters off Oahu’s North Shore.Authorities said the pair were reported missing after they failed to return home Friday night.The Honolulu Ocean Safety Department said the search resumed at first light Sunday.

HONOLULU (Island News) -- First responders resumed their search Sunday morning for 17-year old Samantha Chun and 18-year old Joseph Fujioka. They were last seen at a Mililani convenience store on Friday. Their belongings were found at Ke iki beach on the North Shore of Oahu Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service had a high surf warning posted since yesterday for north facing shores. Ke Iki also has a reputation for being dangerous, as it claimed two lives earlier this winter. “Ke Iki beach: It’s dangerous, it’s deadly, it’s not a good swimming beach. Go to a beach where we have lifeguards,” Tinneny said.

The search comes after two Mililani teens did not come home after a Friday night beach date. When Donald Trump returns to the White House on Monday, his family circle will look a little different than it did when he first arrived eight years ago.
